Holdover Calculator is designed around a single principle: the app should know as little about you as possible. This Privacy Policy describes what little data the app touches and how it handles it.

Kilo Lima Management LLC does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifying information about you. The app does not require an account, does not embed analytics or advertising frameworks, and does not transmit usage telemetry. There is no server-side user record to view, export, or delete because none exists.
When you enable the "Use Nearby Weather" feature, the app requests your device's current location to identify the nearest weather reporting station. Your coordinates are used only to construct a query to the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Aviation Weather Center. They are not retained by the app after the query completes, are not transmitted to Kilo Lima Management LLC, and are not shared with any other third party. You may revoke location access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.
Calculation history, favorite fluids, and saved aircraft profiles are stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you have iCloud device backups enabled in iOS Settings, in which case it is included in your backup under Apple's standard iCloud privacy practices. You may delete all locally stored data at any time by deleting the app.
The app queries the public NOAA Aviation Weather Center API (https://aviationweather.gov) for METAR observations. NOAA's privacy practices govern any logging they perform on incoming API requests. The app does not transmit identifying information with these queries beyond a standard HTTP user-agent string identifying the app and its version.
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. The app receives only a verified entitlement status from Apple's StoreKit framework — payment details, your Apple ID, and personal billing information remain with Apple at all times. Apple's privacy practices for these transactions are described at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy.
If you use the Apple Watch companion, timer state is synchronized between your iPhone and paired watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This communication is on-device and end-to-end between your two paired devices; Kilo Lima Management LLC does not receive any of this data and no remote server is involved.
The app is intended for use by adult aviation professionals and is not directed at children under 13. Kilo Lima Management LLC does not knowingly collect information from children.
Kilo Lima Management LLC may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version will be available at this URL. Material changes will be reflected in the Effective Date above.
